Privacy policy

Last updated 10 October 2026

Draft. Details in [square brackets] are placeholders that will be replaced with our company's legal details.

This policy explains what personal data we handle when you visit productpage.net or use ProductPage, why we handle it and what rights you have. We follow the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Who is responsible

The data controller is [Company legal name], organisation number [org. no.], [registered address], Sweden. Contact us about privacy at [email protected].

What we collect

  • Account details: your name, email address and sign-in information, and the workspace and team you belong to.
  • Workspace content: the products, texts, images, competitor lists, price rules and store connections you add. Store and supplier credentials are stored encrypted.
  • Billing details: your plan, credit balance and payment status. Card and payment details are handled by Paddle and never reach us.
  • Usage and technical data: what you do in the app (for example which features used credits), IP address, browser type and error logs, so we can run, secure and improve the service.
  • Emails you send us: when you contact support.

ProductPage is built for business data. Please don't add personal data about your own customers unless you need to.

Why we use it

  • To provide the service you signed up for and keep your account secure (performance of our contract with you).
  • To handle billing, accounting and tax (legal obligation).
  • To fix problems, prevent abuse and improve ProductPage (our legitimate interest in running a reliable service).
  • To send important service messages, such as changes to our terms. We only send marketing emails if you agree to them, and you can unsubscribe at any time.

Who we share it with

We don't sell personal data. We share it only with service providers who help us run ProductPage, under data processing agreements:

  • Hosting: [hosting provider and location].
  • Sign-in: WorkOS, which handles account sign-up and sign-in.
  • Payments: Paddle, our merchant of record, which processes payments and invoices as an independent controller.
  • Writing and image tools: providers of the automated text and image services that power ProductPage. They receive the product content needed for each task.
  • Search and web data: providers that help us find and read public competitor pages.
  • Your stores: the Shopify or WooCommerce stores you connect, when you publish to them.

Some providers may process data outside the EU/EEA. When they do, we rely on safeguards such as the EU Commission's standard contractual clauses or an adequacy decision.

How long we keep it

We keep your account and workspace data while your account is active. After you close your account we delete it within 90 days, except where we must keep information longer by law, such as accounting records (in Sweden, normally seven years). Backups are overwritten on a rolling basis.

Cookies

We use only the cookies needed to keep you signed in and to protect forms from misuse. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of your personal data, to correct or delete it, to restrict or object to how we use it, or to receive it in a portable format. Email [email protected] and we'll reply within a month. If you're unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY) or the data protection authority where you live.

Security

We protect data with encryption in transit, encrypted storage of credentials, access controls and regular updates. No system is perfectly secure, but we'll tell you promptly if a breach affects your data.

Changes

If we change this policy in a meaningful way, we'll let you know by email or in the app.
